• The owners of this old moorland farm needed to separate a wild area of garden to create a lawn / parking / sitting area for the newly converted barn for holiday rental. Working around the underground drainage systems and existing acer, we created a private space for the converted barn by weaving a long, curved, locally grown larch fence through the garden. As with the majority of our fences, the posts were set in using compacted recycled crushed aggregate as opposed to postcrete. The beds around the seating and lawn are planted and managed informally, reflecting the rugged & wild nature of the valley.
